    Supplier Diversity helps 3M in our efforts to be a more creative, innovative and competitive company, while better meeting the needs of our customers and the communities we serve.

    Our GAME Changer program was designed to build the capabilities and capacity of diverse suppliers through Growth, Advocacy, Mentoring and Education (GAME).

    Inclusion through innovation

    Creating products with inclusion in mind.

    Our Environmental and Community Resilience team supports our New Product Introduction (NPI) teams in creating products for diverse customer needs. Through our Sustainable Value Commitment, our NPI process applies an inclusion lens to the innovation process, solution, function and/or design.

    NPI teams consider how they can use inclusive design principles and improve access for all customers throughout every new product’s journey from concept to our customers’ hands.

    Government Engagement

    Collaborating with advocacy organizations to advance policy outcomes.

    3M is committed to working with other companies and advocacy organizations focused on increasing access to opportunities in communities where we live and work. For example, 3M, along with over 50 organizations, is a member of the Minnesota Business Coalition for Racial Equity (MBCRE), which works with the business community to build an inclusive and prosperous state with and for Black Minnesotans.

    3M advocates for environmental and community resilience in areas where we live and work. By leveraging our expertise and capabilities alongside community stakeholders and convening across sectors, we address important challenges facing our communities. This aligns with and deepens our ongoing environmental commitments in our communities regarding water, air, energy and waste management.
