2024 Update
2024 has been a significant year for 3M.
In April, we completed the planned spinoff of our health care business, which formally launched Solventum Corporation as an independent company. This spinoff resulted in significant changes to our organization, including the makeup of our workforce.
As a smaller, more focused company, 3M is well-positioned to innovate and grow, in large part due to the strength and talent of our people. This change is also an important opportunity to assess our diversity and inclusion progress and the needs of our workforce.
We believe every 3Mer’s unique life experience strengthens our innovation through creativity and diverse perspectives, ultimately benefitting our customers, communities, and shareholders. Guided by this belief, we are re-aligning our diversity and inclusion approach to better represent our new workforce and our future as a global innovator.
In the interim, I am pleased to share insights regarding our workforce following the spinoff of Solventum. This report serves as an overview of who we are today and acknowledges our unwavering commitment to delivering for our customers, shareholders, and communities while staying true to our values.
